The Root Canal...

A few years ago I had a root canal done, today I had another one done.... Why oh why am I in 10 times more pain then the last time???? The thing about pain in your mouths is, you can never really pin point where the pain is coming from, just a general idea.... I think it isnt my tooth its my gums.... I don't know, all I know is I'm hurtin!!! I took some ibuprofin they prescribed me and it helped a little. There was a time in the chair where this rubber thing they were using was covering my nose, I started feeling a little anxious and clostrophobic.... Usually I would just sit there and deal with it but I couldnt.... I had to move it, not knowing if I was going to knock something over or what, the doc appologized, I really couldnt say anything because my mouth was open so wide you could probably fit a softball in it..... <<<>>>> Not to mention I've had a teeny tiny cough for the last few days, not even a real cough just enough to annoy me.... I was sittin there hoping I wouldnt need to cough.... ugh.... I survived!!!

There were a few things I thought of while sitting in that dentist chair. The doc and his assistant were talking about what math class she should take next semester.... there seemed to be so many to choose from, I'm thinking, how many math classes can one person take??? and unless you are going to be some kind of chemist why would you take them??? then I remembered how much I lothed math when I was going to school.

Another topic of discussion, the movie "American Gangster" They were talking about how they heard it was a good movie, I thought.... Gee I wonder if the swearing in that movie is as bad as "Training Day" Both star Denzel Washington, if "TD" didn't have so much swearing it I would watch it again. I really don't want to see "AG".

They really had on some relaxing music, old songs just different versions, I heard "Put Your Head On My Shoulder" It wasnt the version I loved when I was a kid, but it was pretty.... it was a really slow version, I wondered where I could find it....

All the kids had appointments today, Syd was this morning the same time as mine, she had two fillings and they pulled one of her baby teeth. Sunny had her last baby tooth pulled, she was actually happy about that, that was a tooth she has been complaining about because when she was younger instead of putting a silver cap they covered it with some white looking stuff, well after all her other baby teeth fell out, this one baby tooth stood out like a sore thumb, it was really yellow compared to her adult teeth..... she's happy to be rid of that one.... Samson, had 2 small cavities, the doc just recommended he floss more often.... The doc came out and told me that if he hadnt seen Samsons name on the chart he wouldnt have even recognized him, Im never suprised when people tell me stuff like that, he has grown so much even just in the last 7 months.

All in all it went well.... It was a lot faster then the r.c. I had done a few years ago.... Dentistry has changed so much in a couple of years. My Dentists practice also has changed, I remember when he had a staff of 4 and only 3 chairs, now he's got another dentist and probably a staff of 10 and about 12 chairs... I'm glad to see his practice is going well.

Bottom line is..... I'M STILL IN PAIN!!! MAKE IT GO AWAY!!
